Bertrand André Sillon has nearly 30 years of experience in the automotive industry. He began his career as an engineer at BMW / Rover Group in Gaydon, UK, before moving on to Citroën, where he worked as a Product Manager in Paris and Oslo. He then led the Spare Parts department at Renault Trucks in Oslo before joining Møller Mobility Group, the largest automotive company in the Nordics, in 2009. At Møller, Bertrand has held various management positions, contributing significantly to the company’s growth and success.
Bertrand holds two bachelor’s degrees from Poitiers University (France) and Coventry University (UK) and completed his studies with a Master’s in International Management and Finance from La Rochelle Business School (France).
Since 2013, Bertrand has been actively involved in the transition to e-mobility. He played a key role in launching the first Volkswagen e-Up and e-Golf models and led the charging infrastructure tender for AC & DC Chargers on behalf of the Dealer Networks in both Norway and the Baltics.
In 2018, Bertrand took on the role of Group Aftersales Manager at Møller Baltic Import, based in Riga. Simultaneously, he established the e-mobility workgroup, leveraging the group’s Norwegian expertise to benefit the Dealer Network in the Baltics.
For Bertrand, the quiet and clean streets of Oslo are the embodiment of an electric present. His goal is to bring this reality to the Baltics, firmly believing that the future is electric. He advocates for local environmental policies that support electro-mobility.
Bertrand’s experience with Norway’s e-mobility transition has given him deep insights into the necessary changes and challenges involved in promoting electric mobility. This has also led him to play a behind-the-scenes role as an advisor in establishing the Baltic Sustainable Mobility Alliance. This NGO, comprising the largest manufacturers in the Baltics, is dedicated to accelerating the adoption of sustainable mobility in the region by fostering an environment where electric vehicles are accessible, practical, and the preferred choice for transportation.
