  • What should I bring to the festival?

Ticket – Bring your phone or other device with you to show the ticket sent through the Fienta environment. If possible, don’t print the ticket – let’s save nature!

Dress – Come in as you feel comfortable! The Põhjala Factory hangars may be a bit chilly for some, even after heating, so we recommend dressing warmly.

Bring your headphones – if an Impact Stage session is conducted in English and you prefer to listen in Estonian, Brella provides real-time translation services.

Bring your own water bottle – There are no disposable cups in the festival area and you will not be able to get free water cups from the Impact Day area. The refill of your own water bottle is supported by Tallinn Water.

Bring your own food box – We will be using Panditops’s reusable dishes on-site at the festival, and we ask that you bring your own storage box to save any leftover food.

  • What is the best way to come to the festival?

We encourage you to use public transport or micromobility devices!

For our attendees traveling from abroad, we highly encourage utilizing the most environmentally-friendly transportation methods available. If you’re journeying from Sweden, Finland, Latvia, or Lithuania, consider taking a bus or ferry.

When coming with LuxExpress bus you can use the code “IMPACTDAY23” to get 50% discount for your ride. The ticket purchase period is 27.09-07.10 and the travel period is 04.10-07.10. The code is valid when buying a ticket on LuxExpress website.

These options are often more cost-effective. However, if they are not, please bring it to our attention by writing to Erkki (erkki@impactday.eu) – we’re committed to supporting your sustainable travel choices by compensating the difference.

You can get to the venue by public transport using bus no. 32, 72 or tram no. 2, 6. The nearest stop is Marati. Thanks to our cooperation with Tallinn, you can take FREE public transport by using the QR code sent to you by email! You can use this almost all week long – from 3th October to 8th October.

If you have a micromobility device (bicycle, scooter), you can park it next to the venue. We recommend you to enjoy the seaside Stroom pedestrian route to Kopli Street.

For those biking to Impact Day, we have a special treat for you! At the event, volunteers will provide you with a -15% discount code that grants you a discount on bike maintenance services at Põhjala’s bike shed. Please note, this offer is valid until May 1, 2024, and only upon presentation of the ticket.

You can use the Tuul scooter. With the code “IMPACTDAY” you can ride the Tuul scooter all day (from 5th to 6th October) -50% cheaper. Before the first trip, mark the code, and you do not have to enter the code again on the next trip.

Moreover, use the code “CARSSUCK” to enjoy a €75 discount on your Äike e-scooter purchase or your first month of Äike Fix. Alternatively, click this link to save a whopping €150 on your Ampler purchase. Join us in making sustainable transportation choices!”

Discounts are valid until: October 15th

If you can’t get there by public transport or micromobility devices, you can leave your car around the Põhjala Factory. Rent a Beast Tesla. Redeem a code “S3XYSUSTAINABILITY” to receive a discount for your next rides or a chance to win 2€ to 500€ in Beast Bucks to pay for your next rides.

Warning: there are very few parking spaces, so you might get a few (or even more) steps on your activity monitor while walking from your car! There is a car park around the Põhjala factory, but it is used by the workers and people who live around it. You may or may not have the opportunity to park on nearby streets – Impact Day doesn’t ensure that you can definitely park your car nearby. Therefore, we strongly advise you to come by public transport from both an environmental and a convenience perspective!

Põhjala factory address: Marati 5, 11713 Tallinn.

What you need to consider at the festival?

  • How do I get myself the festival's lanyard card?

As a first step, you can obtain a badge and lanyard at the registration desk using your ticket. To do this, you need to locate the “Tickets” email sent by Fienta containing the QR code of your ticket.

If you have a VIP pass, then you can enter from Main Entrance 2 and get faster to the venue!

With your badge, you will have easy access to move between the Impact Day halls and the outdoor area. It’s important to carry your badge and lanyard with you at all times – without it, re-entry to the festival won’t be possible.

In collaboration with Ecodisain, we will be collecting the lanyards at the conclusion of the festival for reuse at future events. Therefore, before leaving the Põhjala Factory, kindly return your lanyard in the registration – together, we can contribute to environmental conservation!

We also measure the impact and footprint of the whole festival! Our goal is to be the first carbon neutral festival in the Baltics. To do this, when you pick up your ticket at the registration desk, we’ll ask you to go to a volunteer and fill in a short survey about how you got to the festival and what your carbon footprint is.

  • Where and how can I leave my outerwear and other things?

You can leave your outerwear in an unguarded wardrobe. There are numbers above the hooks in the wardrobe, you cannot take a number with you. In the wardrobe, we ask you to take a picture of your number so that you don’t forget where you put your clothes.

If you also have a heavy bag that you don’t want to carry all day, you can put your most valuable belongings in the lockers that are in corridors near Impact and Sustainability Stage. The locker is lockable with a key. You can put your things in, take the key with you and leave the key outside the locker door after you’ve taken your things. Please don’t take the key home!

  • Where can I get information about the schedule?

You can see the agenda on the Impact Day website. In addition, there are screens in the registration area where you can also check the schedule. We also recommend logging in early to the Brella environment – there you can see the schedule as well as ask questions, network, etc.

  • Where is everything located?

  • What is the WiFi password?

There is no password! Just join the “Impact Day Public” network.

  • What food can I buy on site?

At Impact Day, we prioritize health and well-being, making it an alcohol and drug-free festival. In keeping with this spirit, we provide a range of refreshing alcohol-free beverages throughout the festival area.

Fotografiska will be offering a fully vegan menu in the Impact Day food area. You can pre-order your food using this link.

The Impact Day Food Court operating hours are as follows:

    • Thursday, October 5th: Open from 11:30 am to 5:00 pm, or until the food runs out.
    • Friday, October 6th: Open from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm, or until the food runs out.

Fresh drinking water will be available in canisters outside, at the toilet taps, or in the carafes in the halls. Additionally, the BakBak bar near the Impact Stage will be serving a variety of tasty non-alcoholic drinks. Also, on the first floor, you’ll find two tea and coffee stations generously provided by Paulig, perfect for a pick-me-up between the exciting sessions.

Here’s a little more about our food and drink providers:

    • Fotografiska: This restaurant operates on a zero-waste basis, employing creative cooking methods that generate no waste and recycle everything possible. Any leftovers are composted overnight and returned to the fields.
    • Kopli Köök: Serving simple, delightful food in a cozy, eclectic environment daily.
    • VLND Burger: More than just food, VLND Burger represents a community’s love for the legendary combination of bun and steak. Presenting Viljandi to the world, one burger at a time.
    • KOKOMO: A family-owned business that serves freshly roasted coffee, introducing a variety of flavors from different coffee breeds.
    • Botik: This cozy garden bar values the environment and respects the old factory spirit. Besides excellent drinks, they offer delicious home-cooked food and a diverse program.
  • What else should I consider?

Alcohol consumption and e-cigarette use are prohibited indoors on Impact Day. You can only smoke in the designated area. In the Smoking Corner there are Filaret smoke boxes for guests to drop their containers in. These will be used to collect smoke cones, and Filaret will recycle toxic smoke cones into eco-friendly compostable 3D printing material, reducing waste in an innovative way.

For our part, we’ve done everything we can to ensure that you generate as little waste as possible during the festival. But if you do, please sort it accordingly – you have the option to separate biowaste, packages, paper & cardboard, deposit bottles & cans, mixed waste.
