Embracing Change – Retaining Values

The ID25 Report just dropped – our third consecutive thorough analysis of the metrics that matter most for our event. We take our kaizen commitments seriously; we also recognise the validity of the adage, “If it’s not written down, it doesn’t exist!” – and what doesn’t exist cannot be measured.

As the region’s largest ethical business-oriented event, we strive to ensure our values are represented via our results; therefore, we adopt a transparent process of accountability that tracks the impact of change.

And this year’s event saw us bring about several big changes, not least moving from our initial ‘home’ in Põhjala Factory and into ‘Kultuurikatel’, an internationally certified Green Key venue.

The new venue – more central, custom-built for such events, and with improved facilities – afforded us more flexibility with a fresh programme and new ideas.

Yet we remain as dedicated as ever to our original commitments around sustainability, ethical best practices, and efficiency.

Driving Impact – Delivering Value

ID25’s theme was to build a bold, self-sufficient, and future-ready Europe. Such commitment starts at home – and our dedication to the local and regional business community was as strong as ever.

We measure across three key impact areas:

  • Environmental – from reducing emissions to implementing smarter waste management solutions.
  • Economic – The festival’s contribution to the local economy and the growth of sustainable businesses.
  • Social – How Impact Day fosters diversity, inclusion, and meaningful connections.

Whether it’s location, facilities, equipment, transport, accommodation, energy, or economic and social impact, we continued to measure, benchmark, and – crucially – learn!

Lessons Learned – Opportunities Identified

Good intentions only really matter when lessons from the past are learned, integrated, and adopted into future strategies.

Our location change highlighted a few great opportunities to improve key aspects of our event – from energy consumption, to layout, to logistics. Three years of data allow us to spot trends that help us refine our strategy for ID26, which also takes place at Kultuurikatel.

We seek to lead by example – and that includes examining any data that points to a trend other than the desired one. Whenever we see that happening, we look for solutions, and we adapt. This report shines a welcome light on ways in which we can continue to walk our talk.

Take a deep dive into our observations, key findings, and conclusions.
